For centuries, energy resources - coal, oil, gas, and today lithium, uranium, and renewable sources - have shaped the world. Oil has shaped alliances, gas has moved borders, and energy has quietly and consistently determined the rhythm of life. And indeed, without energy, everything comes to a standstill: production, transport, communication, and even everyday life.
But for the first time in history, this power is slowly moving from the hands of large systems to the hands of individuals. Thanks to the combination of solar and batteries, energy is no longer something we receive, but something we create and store. And that means greater independence, lower bills, and complete control over what powers our home.
More and more households in Croatia are deciding to invest in solar power plants. According to data from HEP, there are currently 30,000 households with solar power plants with a total connected power in the forward direction of 240,818.25 kW. Interest is not waning. Moreover, the power of solar energy is increasingly evident thanks to unpredictable weather conditions, but also to battery systems. The combination of solar and battery allows every kilowatt produced to be used when needed.
