Zagreb, May 22, 2025 – Yesterday, ENNA Next held its second customer conference at the Wespa, Green Gold in Zagreb.
For the sixty guests, business partners, and customers, ENNA Next prepared engaging and useful presentations on the state of the energy market, expectations, risks, and optimal responses to them. The goal was to collectively identify and leverage market opportunities in the best possible way.
Nenad Ukropina, Management Board member, opened the conference with a brief overview of current developments in the energy sector and ENNA Next's position within that context.
Marijeta Majer, Director of the Energy Projects Sector, gave a very interesting presentation titled "The Energy Market Today: Security, Prices, and Regulation." She provided information on global energy developments and their impact on our customers' businesses, with a focus on the gas market. She also presented several different natural gas and electricity supply models that ENNA Next offers as optimal solutions for customer needs in light of global and local energy market developments.
Tomislav Bunjevac, Management Board member, focused on the electricity market, with his presentation titled "Portfolio Management and Trading: How to Manage Risks and Energy Prices." He familiarized guests with trends in electricity consumption and production, future expectations, and how prices are formed and influenced. He particularly emphasized the importance of investing in flexibility due to the integration of a large number of renewables into transmission systems and the risks they pose, referencing recent "blackouts" in Spain and last year in Montenegro.
ENNA Next's response to these risks was offered by Dario Antolović in his presentation "Batteries and Virtual Power Plants: Technical Solutions," where he explained the role of batteries in maintaining electricity grid stability, the benefits they bring to customers, and how virtual power plants function.
Marin Cerjan, Management Board member, used concrete examples of battery and solar system applications to explain to customers how they can achieve benefits and how significant these benefits are when connected to a virtual power plant. He explained the concept of arbitrage in the electricity market and how to easily generate additional income.
Following these useful and interesting presentations, we treated our customers to an inspiring guest appearance by Croatia's greatest skier of all time, Ivica Kostelić, who was interviewed by sports journalist and commentator Filip Brkić. With interesting anecdotes, a look back at his path to success, and the long and hard work that preceded it, Kostelić delighted and inspired the ENNA Next conference guests.
