Zagreb, 25 June 2025 - ENNA Next is the recipient of the Zlatna bilanca award, which each year the Financial Agency (Fina) traditionally presents to Croatia’s most successful companies.
The ceremonial 17th presentation of the Zlatna bilanca was held in the Emerald Hall of Zagreb’s Hotel Esplanade on Tuesday, 24 June 2025, organized by Fina and Jutarnji list under the auspices of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.
A total of 17 awards were handed out: 11 Zlatna bilanca for the most successful companies in individual industries based on their business results, and 6 Zlatna bilanca in special categories.
ENNA Next was honored in the category “Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply,” and the award was accepted by ENNA Next’s director, Nenad Ukropina. As noted in the citation, ENNA Next achieved its most successful business year ever with a net profit of €14.9 million, while last year’s revenues reached €190.9 million.
“When ENNA Next embarked on its business journey less than four years ago, we firmly believed that entrepreneurs needed different and more flexible models for electricity and gas supply, and that maximum independence from energy-price volatility and geopolitical risks could be secured by building renewable energy sources and battery storage, while monetizing capacity reserves through virtual power plants could generate additional revenue. By combining these elements, energy can be transformed from a cost item into a revenue-generating asset. We are immensely proud that the market embraced everything we offered as one of the first companies to present a complete service portfolio under one roof and to set new industry standards. It is with great pride that we receive the Zlatna bilanca award for Best Company in the “Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply” category after only four years of operation. We extend our special thanks to all our colleagues, without whom no challenge was insurmountable and this success would not have been possible. This award belongs to them above all,” said director Nenad Ukropina.
This year, 162,135 business entities were analyzed, of which 4,707 qualified for consideration for a Zlatna bilanca. Awards are determined by the overall ranking derived from eleven financial indicators across five categories: profitability, liquidity, indebtedness, activity and efficiency.
Prime Minister Andrej Plenković attended the ceremony. In his address, he emphasized that since 2016, when he took office, the number of entrepreneurs has grown by around 50,000—almost one third.
It was also highlighted that last year Croatian entrepreneurs generated nearly €170 billion in total revenues, while their annual net profit rose by over 14 percent, reaching €9.9 billion.
