Zagreb, October 2, 2025 – Marin Cerjan Showcases ENNA Next’s Innovative Solutions at the “Solar Energy” Expert Seminar

At the recent “Solar Energy” expert seminar, organized by Energetika Marketing, publisher of the professional magazine EGE, participants discussed the potential applications of solar energy for electricity and heat generation, as well as passive utilization. The seminar aimed to present the latest technical solutions, achievements, and completed projects in the field of solar energy.

Marin Cerjan, Board Member of ENNA Next, highlighted in a “one-on-one” conversation with the seminar moderator that ENNA Next provides comprehensive energy services, including energy consulting, construction of solar power plants, battery systems, and boilers, electricity and gas supply, aggregation, and trading on the wholesale electricity market.

He also showcased projects from the ENNA Group’s Energy division, including Enna Charge and the large-scale 87.52 MW solar power plant project in Romania.

Special attention was given to battery energy storage systems and the benefits they provide. Cerjan emphasized that battery systems have rapid response times, making them ideal for providing services to balance the power system.

“With existing infrastructure, they enable uninterrupted power supply. For consumers with contracts tied to spot market prices (CROPEX), battery systems allow load-shifting—charging when prices are low and discharging when prices are high. For consumers with limited contracted network capacity, batteries can discharge during peak loads and charge during low-demand periods. As standalone systems, they are perfect for providing ancillary services, including primary, secondary, and tertiary reserves,” Cerjan explained.

He also highlighted virtual power plants and their benefits for users:

“This is software that allows us to connect any client device capable of providing flexibility, whether it’s 100 kW or 100 MW. Flexibility can include increasing or decreasing consumption or production, engaging diesel generators, or energy storage devices. This enables our clients to participate in the ancillary services market and generate additional revenue through reserve provision to the transmission system operator via our platform.”

“Digitalization and advanced energy technologies represent the path forward for our development, allowing both us and our clients to fully seize market opportunities,” Cerjan concluded.
