Rising trend of solar power system upgrades in Croatia

ENNA Next has secured over 100 upgrades

Date publishedSeptember 9, 2024

The trend of upgrading solar power systems is becoming increasingly pronounced in Croatia, primarily due to new regulations introduced at the beginning of 2023. These changes allow homeowners with solar power systems to generate more electricity than they consume, enabling the expansion of existing systems and providing new opportunities for many owners.

For instance, if a homeowner decides to buy an electric vehicle to charge through their solar system or switch from wood heating to electric heating with a heat pump, the household’s electricity demand increases, leading to the need for a larger solar system.

ENNA Next has already secured more than 100 solar system upgrades for its customers. Owners appreciate the high-quality equipment and the use of microinverters, which simplify the upgrade process.

The key to successful and simple upgrades lies in using microinverter technology. Unlike central inverters that are installed on walls or in garages to manage all panels in the system, microinverters are smaller devices mounted on the back of each solar panel. They individually convert DC to AC, allowing each panel to operate independently.

This technology makes adding new solar panels easily without replacing the main inverter, simplifying the capacity upgrade. While solar systems with older technologies, such as central inverters, are often cheaper, they tend to be less efficient. Given solar panels’ longevity, choosing a system with long-term performance is essential.

ENNA Next stands out not only for using microinverters but also for providing additional benefits such as a 10-year warranty on solar power systems and responsive customer support available both during the selection process and after the system is operational.
