Applications for a record amount of incentives for solar and batteries have begun!

Retroactive funding also announced

Date publishedSeptember 2, 2026

Zagreb, September 2, 2026 – On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 9 a.m., the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund began accepting applications for subsidies for the installation of solar power plants, battery storage systems and heat pumps in family homes. A total of €38 million has been allocated for the subsidies, with applications accepted until the end of 2026 or until the available funds are exhausted.

Applications can be submitted exclusively online via fondovi.gov.hr. Homeowners or co-owners who have their registered residence at the same address are eligible to apply. This year, for the first time, battery energy storage systems are also eligible for co-financing, provided that the battery system is applied for together with a photovoltaic system.

Up to 50% of the cost of installing a solar power plant and battery storage system is eligible for co-financing, while citizens at risk of energy poverty are entitled to 70% co-financing. According to the Call, eligible and justified costs are exclusively installation costs incurred from the date of publication of the Call, as well as advance payments made during the current calendar year. The cost of equipping the HEP ODS metering point is also eligible, provided it was paid no earlier than January 1, 2026.

This Call represents an exceptional opportunity for households to significantly reduce their energy costs by installing a solar power plant and battery storage system, thereby making their homes almost completely energy independent.

With more than 3,500 solar power systems sold, years of experience and expertise, and top-quality Tier 1 equipment featuring microinverters, ENNA Next is an ideal partner for reliable solar installation.

ENNA Next solar systems are installed on a turnkey basis and come with a 25-year warranty and 10 years of insurance against natural disasters. ENNA Next also offers premium battery storage equipment, representing the next step towards household energy independence. A battery stores excess energy generated when solar electricity production exceeds consumption. With a battery, this surplus energy is no longer sent to the grid but is instead used when needed, delivering even greater savings on electricity bills and improving the overall efficiency of your solar power system.

Retroactive funding also announced

It is also worth highlighting that the Fund has announced the publication of a special public call for citizens who installed and commissioned their photovoltaic systems after the closure of last year's public call but before the publication of this year's Call. Under this call, up to 50% of eligible investment costs will be retroactively co-financed, providing access to non-refundable funding for those who completed their solar projects between last year's and this year's subsidy cycles.
